Film to DVD (8mm & 16mm):
Why convert film to DVD?
Film deteriorates over time and the deterioration may get worse depending on the conditions under which the film has been stored. The color of the image on the film will fade & discolor sometimes making the film unviewable. Additionally the film will get brittle with age causing it to break in the projector. By converting it to DVD your memories will be preserved for many years.
Our Process
We have proprietary technology that is very effective for doing film transfers. Many of our competitors simply project the image on a screen or wall or use a low-quality transfer box to record the video on a camcorder. This can produce poor results for a couple of reasons. First becuase the picture is being recorded off another surface, the texture of the surface will degrade the image. Secondly the speed at which the film was recorded does not match the frame rate of our video signal which will cause pulsating and strobing of the video.
1Stopdigital projects your film directly into a professional-grade 3CCD camera. There is absolutely nothing but glass between the film & the camera sensor which ensures the best quality for this type of transfer. Our equipment plays back the film at a speed that works with digital video. We bring every video into an editor and correct the speed so that it looks just like it did on film. If sound is involved, we match the sound to the film correcting for speed. The file is then written to a DVD with custom menus & chapters for each roll of film.
About Film
8mm film
8mm film is a motion picture film format in which the filmstrip

The original standard 8mm film, also known as regular 8mm and Super 8.
Super 8 is also available with sound. If there is a brown magnetic
